Picture here :

I somehow lost one of these or it never was there to begin with : As this rifle is like just past a week old : The dealer has no idea where I can find one : I believe it's the upper tang screw for Mirouku 1873

I have already purchased the one I have linked : It's the wrong thread : It starts but I'd have to force it to get it to go. I spoke with winchester CS . Their answer was I needed a parts number or sku # for them to locate it:  DUH !!!! If I had that I could find it myself.

Does anyone know where I might get the right size screw and or a parts listing - Schematic??

Any help is appreciated : http://homesteadparts.com/shopcart/cartimages/product/WP53.jpg

That is puzzling.  I've searched the Winchester website as well as the web and can't find a schematic for the rifle.

That looks like one of the filler screws for the holes that are pre-drilled at the factory for installation of a Marbles tang sight.  It seems strange that they'd use a different screw size/thread pitch than on originals, as Marbles specifies the same sight and screw set for both original and new production (Miroku) rifles.  I know I can take a new Marbles sight and install on original 1873's with the current screw set.

At any rate, you could always just put on a tang sight to replace those screws!  I like them much better than the barrel sights, anyway.  ;)

I purchased my 1873 Miroku tang from Homestead (1873 parts and such); I am remembering that they may carry the fill screws - their prices are very good, easy to talk to and very helpful - call or web, may have what you need.

I just took delivery of one of the Miroku '73s and am going to put a tang sight on it.  In getting the sight ordered I discovered that the mounting screw holes are tapped in the common US thread size 10-32, meaning it ought to be pretty easy either to find a generic replacement plug screw or make one out of anything threaded 10-32.  Hope that helps.
