i was doing my usual window shopping online and saw that HRA makes a carbine version of the henry in 44-40 holds 10 round, also a .45 colt version of it too. again out of my price range but oh well. maybe i'll find another cheap henry and jump on it. what are your guys thoughts.

Annoyed.  I would really like to add an HRA 1860 to my pile of Henry rifles.  I just find the price to acquire one a little beyond my means.  I must admit however, I are sorry tempted to start stuffing a Mason Jar to provide the necessary coins to acquire one.

Welll I certainly can't afford it neither, but until now I have had no desire for a HRA Henry (I do desire an Uberti, since I don't have one).  But this carbine...yeah, I want one.

I haven't seen the carbine but the rifles I've seen lately are horribly finished. Some moron is buffing the octagon barrel so the sharp edges are all rounded off. Looks like they tried to buff an octagon barrel into a round barrel.

Along with the usually really nice wood on the HRA 1860's, the few I've seen in person all were super-shiny.  I guess they think that will make buyers think it has a higher-end finish than the Ubertis.

Shiny on a Henry looks good. Maybe the Italians need to show them how to polish an octagonal barrel without rounding the edges.
Took Pedersoli a few years to learn it as well.

Just like a knife blade, stay on the flats and contours, the sharp edges will get done without trying.
