Anyone know if this sight has enough adjustment to be able to shoot to 200 / 250 yards?

Caliber would make a dif as to what length post you should get. wM1

Standard 24" 44-40 at BP velocities/zeroed at 100yds has about
32 moa of drop at 250yds -- only about 1/3" rise on the stem.

What length is the stem? I have an original Winchester and for anything past 200 yds it would need the long stem. It has a lot more velocity than a 44-40. wM1

I have the standard stem on my 24.25" .45 Colt and I do not have enough adjustment to zero at 100 yards with the load I shoot. I have 50 yard eyes at my age so I have a 50 gun - fine for my deer hunting. The gun will do more than 100 yards but would require a taller stem and younger eyes.

Thanks for the information Steve. I have the 20 inch 44/40. Do you know if a guy can install the mid- range stem in the Winchester/Mirouko base? The pictures are a bit fuzzy, but it looks like there is a set screw on the base the stems set on. I see where Midway has the mid and long range stems.

If you are talking about the Marble's Improved Tang Peep Sight base, then yes.

When you order the longer stem from Marbles they include the instructions on stem replacement. wM1

I know that Marbles offers taller posts for their improved base that can probably get you out as far as you want to shoot; I would visit their web for your options. Also, don't forget that you can get elevation with the different choices of lower front sights that Marbles offers - the balance between the front/ rear sight picture (marbles even offers options to model that balance based upon barrel length) with your favorite loads is the key.
