Can someone explain the drop two mod on the 1887?  I have not used one of the shotguns so how does it load now?  What changes with the loading with the drop two mod?  How extensive and intrusive is the drop two mod?

Thanks!

Go to www.coyotecap.com and ask about their "Feed Two" mod.  The "Drop Two" cuts up the gun pretty severely.  Feed Two does much the same, without making the gun useless for anything other than featherlights.

I'm also interested in the "drop two" modification. I haven't heard of the "feed two" before this post. Does anyone have this drop two modification that could post some pictures of the inside of the action with the lever open? I'd be very interested in seeing them. Thanks

Howdy! I have my orginal 87',s modified for quick 2 drop system. One was done by Fireball & the other by myself (copied). Mine are of the single extractor type (early production- models) and there's not really much to see by a picture other than you can see the added screw inside the action. Hard to see is the ramp created by cutting into the chamber. I was shooting my 87' for years as it was, but started to get more competive(faster)& I almost gave up on the 87' because I could not get the times the faster folk's were getting with the 97's or SxS but the two drop improved my times. My fastest time for 4 shots is 3.85sec. & 6.35sec for 6 shots. I believe you have to be able to shoot a shot a second or better to be competitive. I could never get these times before the change.
