blue dot powder/ 44/40 ????

I used a similar load of BD in my Uberti Bisley 45 Colt this year with a 262 gr. SWC and got some really nice groups at 50 yds. Been shooting Unique and Swiss 3Fg in my 44-40, though.

Cholla,, many thanks for the info. Ispent a couple of hours last nite scaning different rifle forums looking for old BD data,,. The Marlin forum had a great disscustion on said subject,,," BD ,by some was to dirty ",,,by others the only one they use,,you know the usual for ,,aginst . Has been said numerous times ,each gun( weapon) is different ,,,think I will give it a try,,.
