Aren't both these guns made by Uberti?  So is there any difference between them?

Any problems in shooting 45 Schofield rounds in either of these two?

Now that is really interesting!  The Laramie is NOT a Schofield?!  But rather a Model 3.  Shows how little I know.  What, briefly, are the differences.

Actually The Laramie is neither a Schofiled nor a New Model Number 3 but rather a hybred of both.  Or perhaps the Russian and the NM#3.  It has the cylinder screww like the Russian.  but looks more like a NM#3.  I sure wish they would have made it right in the first place.  Maybe we can get Taurus to make a NM#3 ;D

Well I've owned three Schofields and none fit my hard at all well.  Since the grip shape here is different, maybe it would.

There is a posting on the SASS site I think that indicates that these guns will not take 45 Schofield cartridges.  I would have thought that they would but...

Is the firing pin on the hammer or floating in the frame?

Buy a Russian..they are a better looking pistol.  Doc

If I remember right the Berretta would not handle the thicker rim of the 45 Schofield.  Not enough clearance between the cylinder and the recoil shield.
