Tovarisch! . . . eh?   Bah!  (the rest courtesy of an interpreter)

Today the Bad Czech loaded up his trusty PPS and went Panzer Possum (Armidillo) hunting.  A fine fall day, mid 60s, dry leaves rustling, the best season for Panzer Possums.  About a mile back in the hills there was rustling off to the left.  A fine Boar Panzer Possum at 50 feet!  The PPS came up on line and sent a 7.62x25 round piercing thru Possum armor.  The Panzer Possum made a great leap and began a dying scuttle, but a three round burst finished him.

A gute *ahem* good day indeed.  Panzer Possum hunting with a PPS is great fun, and will continue after deer season.  It's a target rich environment out there these days,  the cars and trucks can't kill them all!

Used Red Army Standard: steel case, 85 grain fmj at 1670 fps out of the PPS.  This is just my exercise walk out on the farm, carrying a rifle of some sort.  No need for stealth, these pestiferous critters don't seem to care.

Yep, Panzer Possum is my kind of hunting.  No sneaking or stealth or being quiet, no gutting an skinning and grilling or any of that other outdoor channel stuff. Just stroll noisily thru the woods. The critters can't see or hear worth a damn, they've got no natural predators round here ('Cept me)  you just bumble along until they finally figure something close is near by, then they take off and you take your shot.  They jump a foot in the air when you hit them.  Buzzards love them.

Evidently the only thing they're really good at is reproducing.  They're classified an invasive pest by the state.  Don't touch them, they can carry Leprosy.  But they're the best thing going for sub gun hunting IMHO!

Got two more today!  First one was a one shot kill, but the 2nd took to running, walked the rounds into him.  Good thing I had thirty in the mag.   8)

Anytime you can get rid of vermin, it is good!  :D
