Light bullets (300-400 grs) in .45 calibre rifles constitute an "Express" load, the historic 45-90 chambered in the '86 and several Brit double rifle calibres, for example.

I had a good .50 calibre 600 gr bullet mould (can't remember the maker) I sold to the owner of a heavy Brit double rifle. I cast one lot of bullets with it for my 50-70's and decided that it was not a good idea .....

Not only was the recoil attention getting, they key-holed at 50 yds. That was with my Military Rifle that has a 1x36" twist. My 50-70 carbine has a 1x26" twist (the current standard) so it would stabilize it, but the very thought of it was a deterrent to trying it .....
