Hey Steve

I just wanted to say "Thanks again" for all that you do for hosting the AZSA World match. Jacob and I really enjoyed ourselves. I really wish I could get out there a few more times each year.

We've decided that if he's going to continue shooting in one of the revolver classes he may need a few more. Towards that end, yesterday I bought a pair of consecutive S&W K frames with 4" barrels and pearl grips. Any excuse right?  ;) I'm looking forward to seeing them in person.

Tornado- J-Dawg shot a little video. I'll have to see about uploading it to youtube so that we can post it.

I saw those on gunbroker, if I didn't just buy a prewar K-frame I may have bid on them.  I will be looking forward to seeing any video.

So what else is on your mind besides hundred-proof women, 'n' ninety-proof whiskey, 'n' fourteen-carat gold?

All of the Winchester rifles of this type 1905 (.32 SL and .35 SL), 1907 (351WSL) and 1910 (401 WSL) are legal as AZSA main match rifles and we have had people use the .351 several times.  They do tend to be a little slow on the magazine change as most capers require more than 10 rifle rounds.  Main match rifle rounds may not exceed 1400 fps so people tend to shoot slower burning powders, heavier bullets or a combination of the two to make them work reliability.

We did see two .351's used this year in the long range (civilian main match rifle) side match.  The flatter shooting 351 works well at 100 yards and is much better than the average main match calibers of 45 ACP or 9 MM.  The 1907's smaller magazine capacity isn't a handicap in long range matches where less rounds are normally fired.
