I am going to shoot my new gun this Halloween weekend. My question is what factory ammo is safe for my gun? Can I shoot FMJ? My caliber is a 357/38. Also does the 38 specials jam up in this rifle? Any input is welcomed as I don't want to ruin this beautiful rifle!

All the best,

Jeff

absolutely, is there even another reason to have one ?   :)

I should think factory 38 spcl with run just fine, as will the copper-jackets, if that what you have
however, the jackets are prolly holly points , kinda a waste to use in a rifle IMHO                                                                you might run into some issue with 38 Spcl reloads , if the OAL is off.

One way to tell if a particular cartridge will work is make dummy rounds using the same or very similar bullet loaded to factory spec overall length and run them through the rifle.  Even if you don't reload personally, just about anyone you know that shoots Cowboy Action does reload and a large percentage shoot 357 or 38.  If you are in AZ I can help you out on the dummy rounds otherwise ask a local pard

PS your rifle is safe to shoot any SAAMI spec ammo.  All major manufacturers load to SAAMI specs.
