This is not a SASS/NCOWS shoot, but it is loads of fun.    This is a fund raiser for the Friends of the James Farm, a not-for profit group who is working to promote the farm.    Even though it is in Missouri, we welcome Jayhawkers too!   Yankee gold is appreciated.

We do three shoots a year.  This year they are April 11, June 20 and September 12.  Round count is ~42.

Going to try roundin up a posse of old cowboys from central Illinois. May see you in June or September. Sound like a good time shoot.

Would love to see more shooters!  We have had guys from Colorado and Minnesota (little worried at first they were from Northfield!).   i grew up in Central Illinois, if you come via 54, watch out for those small Missouri towns, they love their speed limits!

Hi

Sounds great, but that's the same day as the Oklahoma CMP games at OKCGC, the NRA Convention, AND the huge Tulsa Gun Show.  Not unusual, it will be warm enough to be outside without a parka.  I'm shooting two 1911 matches at the CMP Games on Saturday and going to the Tulsa Show on Sunday.

We have them again on June 20 and September 12, so hopefully one of those dates will work out.  It is a good time.  I will post some pictures when I get them uploaded.  We shoot just about 100 yards west of the James house, right where the Pinkertons tossed in the smoke grenade that led to even more problems.

Always a group shot on the porch
