Found another bottle of goop while rummaging through some junk. There is a warning on the front that it "may be fatal or cause blindness if swallowed" which concerns me- no, not because I'm going to eat it, rather because it suggests there is something other than plant or animal based ingredients. A brief internet search turned up nothing. Unless someone here can enlighten me I'm going to chuck it, as my beeswax concoction seems to be working fine.

PS It is a blue-grey (of course) paste roughly the consistency of toothpaste, with a sort of plastic or mild petroleum odor.

you might have to hold a gun on the wrats to get them to drink it.

My other thought (Oh the Pain!!) is .......... When the gun is fired, a certain amount becomes Gas.  Ah, then mixed in with the smoke, which the shooter then breathes.  Me thinks (more pain) breathing the fumes might just be the same as eating or drinking it.  Not a good thing.

Ingesting anything that is labeled "may cause _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ " (fill in the blank) is probably not good for human consumption.  In any form.  I personally found myself in a hospital from breathing gun smoke at a "night shoot" when the lack of breeze and high humidity caused the gun smoke to form a dense cloud around my head.  Smoke inhalation was the medical term.  Screwed me up for about three days.  I don't do night shoots any more.
