By far the best Narrow Gauge yard to visit in America. My favorite time of the year is mid-September when the steam effects are superb. The chase out of Chama and up to Cumbres Pass is stupendous as the train usually leaves the yard double headed and even triple headed on big weekends. The roadbed is visible from the state highway most all of the way to the pass and a little some on the other side before it turns into the canyon to the East. Lots of turnouts for photography too. A grand trip well worth the effort.
