Starting new clubs around the country is the only way this game is going to grow. Many people just don't know where or how to get things going. It's also hard to do everything by your self. Ya got ta get a mob a guys behind you to make things easier. In the last year people in the Kansas City, Iowa and Minnesota areas have approached us about getting something going in their areas. Some are experienced competitive shooters with access to an existing range and others aren't.

Most recently we've been approached by a Minnesota mug interested in starting a mob up in the cold country. Guess he plans ta bring in some a that high class hooch from Canada. If any one would like ta get in on this action ya's needs ta let us know.

Where at in MN?

Sometimes a good way to generate interest is to hold a short side match at your monthly cowboy match.

Last year at the GAF Grand Muster we had a AZSA match planned following the Muster. We got rain that day and everybody was really played-out so we didn't finish it, but the little bit of AZSA shooting we did generated enough interest that I've had GAF members request that they be allowed to have an AZSA class during the Expansion Era Match this year and I've approved. Some folks may find that to be heretical, but I STRONGLY believe in promoting ALL the shooting sports

I'm going to start a section on the AZSA Clubs web page about emerging clubs and I would like to put your location and info up if you're willing to be the point person in a new area. Let me know how you would like to be contacted and the place you hope to shoot and I'll post it. We'll see if we can generate any internist for others in your area.

Thanks

I'm the match director for the Tri County Cowboys at Polo, Iller-noise.  We have our first shoot this Sat and I will bring the ASZA topic up.

May I get a "what is legal" and "illegal" for these types of matches?  Mainly weapons, got plenty of bib overalls here in Iller-noise!
