From the research I have, J. F. Bond was in Trinidad and Animas City from 1877 to 1880.  He was in Durango, 1881 to 1884.  This is a very cool Slim Jim and quite rare.

That's a good find, Kid. Thanks for the link. He carries his design right out almost to the stitch line. No border or anything to frame it. Very interesting.
