Nice bullets Dick, but I'll save my SWC/flat nose round style bullets for shootin in my smokeless hoglegs, round balls only for my cap n' ball revolvers. My TC Hawken' most of the time gets a patched round ball, but sometimes I stuff a TC Maxi ball down the barrel, hit what I'm aiming at, with good results.

Added 05/08: I do use DD's Mav Dutchman 200 grain 44 bullet cast from soft lead in 44 Colt cases with FF Black in my Open Top and Richards II.

I shoot roa's and everything else out there crept a front stuffer!  For  all its 18 gr fffg or pyrodex. Roa's it's a big lube boolit , 58's and others its round ball or the 150 bl boolit I don't normally usage a fiber wad ! With round ball I use a lube mix I made up and apply it with a turkey blaster (looks cool)   I will say if I need more knock down power I will use a 200 big lube in the roa's only ! I did ok

Thanks Lefty.

I'll see if I can scare some up.  I'm in a little burg in western PA and we don't get much in the way of "good stuff."  Catalogues are your friend here.

Send me a PM with your Address. I will fill a Remington cap tin with Froglube gel, place it in a small zip lock bag and post it first class in the mail.
