In a month's time? Pictorial on a gun's finish.

I've been shooting this pair of Rodeos on a weekly basis some times more for just over a month now.  Prior to engraving the finish was removed for the most part by using a BC lead removal/ polishing cloth.   Cleaning, handling and a few tiny cosmetic enhancements is aging the guns and the ivory just as I had hoped.  Pretty much maintenance free for the most part.  Shoot them..run a brush through them, wipe them down.  Done.  But I'm always amazed at how harsh just wiping down and even marginal cleaning can be on the finish.   Also pretty obvious which gun I am shooting more.  Grain on the newer previously unused ivory is beginning to catch up with the year old and well used ivory.  Nice as they were originally a matching book end pair.

Lighting is a little different, a little brighter in today's photos.  So the guns are now showing more "white".
But I wanted to get pictures this morning to show the subtle difference in finish wear in month's time.  And if have not caught the detail..how differing color screws, triggers, ejector rods, and cylinder pins changes the over all appearance.

I think they are greying up nicely.
