I shoot a Lyman 350 grain 515 bullet that comes out of the mold 512 with a 20 to 1 mix.
Pure lead makes a smaller bullet, and hardened lead with antimony and tin makes a larger bullet.
the mold is made using Lyman #2, which contains antimony and I don't want to use that hard a bullet in my Spencer original 65 Burnside. SO...
I bought a roll of aluminum duct tape. $18, and put a  couple of pieces inside on the side with the pins.
I then used a razor blade to push down on the vent lines to make it vent. 200 bullets and  it's still there and strong.

Here is a photo of the Beagle Mold:

the bullet comes out nice and clean.  I tried it unsized and next step is to size to .515.
no slag on the bullet at all... it enlarges it .002.  just what I needed.  45 grains puts it in 3 inches at 50 yds.  my old eyes won't allow better.

perfect bullets, 20 and 1 mix. 516 diameter, grooves filled, and NO overlap lead lines on the opening.  Nice, clean, bullets that fall out of the mold and they never did that before. I could size 515, but they are accurate as is.....more testing to come.
I'm sizing them SPG by hand, and not sizing the cases at all after firing, just a slight expand on the top 1/2 inch or less of the case.
Not my idea, but it works....look it up on line. many articles about Beagling the molds......

Would never have thought this would work without creating fins.  Will Google it.  Tx.

IT WORKS!!  I use it for my .45-75 , No.1 Long Lee and for a Swedish roller in 8 x 58RD.

I never tried it yet, but you can read about it on the castboolits website.

"Beagling" is a pretty established practice.  I've had very good success with it.  It is nice, since it is easily reversible too, allowing for easy experimentation.
