Hi, Folks:

I don't know how many other people have the problem that I have - particularly large hands. What
I find is that a lot of things made for the average grip usually need some help when I use them.
Right now I'm thinking that my Dragoon would probably be a bit more comfortable if there was a bit more meat to grab.
It still has those skinny, slick stock grips and I'd like to find something beefy in walnut or maple.

Is this something I can pick up just by naming my preference across the counter, or do I actually
have to go get them fitted?  Thoughts?

Good News!!  You can get grips that fit  ;D  Bad News!!  You'll have to find a custom maker and have then fitted :-[

Howdy Mr. Sims,

I'm blessed with big paws also.  My most comfortable sixguns are my brace of Ruger Old Armies.  For quick accurate pointing I favor the 1860 open tops, but I too wish they had more beef to the grips.  Since I have the means to work wood I may just make some.

Size don't matter Cuts, it's the fit that matters.

OH...I just KNEW we'd get around to this but honestly, size really DOES matter (though I agree about the "fit"). So
on to the next question: Are there blanks that can be worked?

BTW: @ Dick....you were mentioned in my thread on the multi-loader and would be interested in your feedback...
