I'm experienced with modern replicas...mostly Colts....of the more popular brands. My favorite 1860's will consistently ring my 11" x 12" steel plates out to 100 yds., if seated, using two-hands aoff of a sandbag rest. Off-hand shooting will yield similar results at 50 yds. I typically get 4" groups at 25 yds. This is using slightly enlarged rear "V" hammer sight and issue front sight. My recently acquired 1851's group better than my favorite 1860's at 25 yds, but have not developed a best load & I don't have as good a feel for them (yet) compared to the 1860s.

I don't get as good a result with my Dragoons, but they are a bit more tiring to hold on target.

BTW, I find the mechanics of the Uberti Dragoon pistols to be quite exceptional out-of-the-box.....compared to the belt-sized revolvers.
