"We regret the inconvenience but ask that our clients understand that we are in the custom pistolsmithing business and are not gunsmiths or blacksmiths. That said, we’ll do our best to recommend specialists who can attend to restorations and repairs. While we admire the pre-war Colt revolvers, for our purposes, the late-model United States Firearms guns are far superior. In terms of fit and finish, they have no equal and are the best vehicle for fine custom single-actions. In view of developments at USFA, it is entirely possible that, in the near future, we will no longer offer services and modifications for Colt revolvers of any stripe."

First you'll want a copy of the 2005 catalog :)

For me, this is great!

Thanks much Dane.

You are more than welcome guys.

Thought the PDF of the catalog was well worth a look.
I deleted some of my reference materials and have yet to find them again.  But hopefully will eventually.

But one begins to wonder just how many of the catalog guns are represented in collections here.  3?  May be more?

Dane,  I love that Hamilton Bowen quote.  OMG, can you imagine the fireworks that would create on the Colt Forum???    :)

Ha, ha!  Right on Tim.  I did mention that quote in the Uberti/Colt comparison yesterday :)

I have generations of Colt use in my family tree but that surely doesn't make me clueless or willing to ignore the facts  :-)

I agree with Hopalong.  That Hamilton Bowen quote is one of the highest tributes a firearm company could receive.  Too bad, the USFA SAA's are no more.  Lucky us, we own some of the finest SAA's ever produced!
