Here in NE we have what they call the Cornhusker State Games for residents to compete in various sports.
Both summer & winter versions, too.

We have trap, clays, skeet, various silhouette, rifle high power, bullseye pistol, blackpowder, bench rest, archery, airgun.
But no CAS.  Workin' on it now.

Any other states have CAS events?  I have heard from a just few who did last year.

MG,
We have the Show-Me Games. They have just about everything you can think of including Dressage. I had no idea what that was until I googled it.  ???  But, no CAS.
Time to fold,

NC State Games has had CAS as an event for the last two years running.

Actually, the first Cowboy Action Event in the N.C State games was June, 1999.  Only one year since then has been without the Cowboy Shoot (actually most all of the shooting diciplines were dropped for that one year)

Much obliged, Pards.

The club went unanimous (or nearly so).   ;D
So I proceeded to the State games honchos with the application.   ::)
They had their meeting top decide ALL new events last night.
We'll see how it comes out real soon now.  I will call 'em on Monday.

I will be contacting you by PM to see how you handle certain issues.
Like:
Held on a regularly scheduled shoot day?
Other (outta staters) shooter show up to match?
More to follow----

Well, the State Games guys jus' contacted me & said it was a "NO".
The reasons were:
???   Too far from Lincoln.
>:(   No $pon$or$hip from a major outfit.

I am really dissappointed.
Got 6 fun stages written out that have Nebraska in 'em.

Maybe next year.
