When cocking the revolver the hand is rubbing on the right side of the frame slot.
I bought the gun on Gun Broker months ago.
Any suggestions, please.

Hi,
Pushing against the ratchet causes it to rub on the left side of the slot. If it is rubbing on the right side it is probably to thick for the slot and would have to be removed and filed until it moves easily in the slot.

Thanks very much for the info. Maybe I should buy a new hand to start with.

I don't know where I've been on this question.  Probably asleep on the sofa.  But ............
You certainly can start with a new Hand and far be it from me to tell you not to ........... your going to have to fit that new hand to the gun as well.  It WILL NOT be a drop in part.  Fitting will be required to properly time the cylinder rotation.
IF the cylinder rotation is properly timed with the current hand, and the only problem is the hand dragging on the arbor side of the slot,
after your shine a light up the slot and check for burrs (likely) and clean up the hand slot if necessary.
Select a VERY flat surface and put down some 220 or 320 grit wet/dry sand paper and evenly run the off side of the hand on the paper.  Try fit often and go slowly until you get a nice smooth fit.
If this is a 4 screw cut for the shoulder stock, you might also want to inspect where the stock screw enters the hand slot and insure the end of the screw has been flush fit to the slot so the hand doesn't bind at the bottom of it's travel.
