By googling the subject and reading threads on multiple sites, I have collected various tips and hints on correcting flaws in the new Century clone of the 1887 lever shotgun. But I haven't found a site that really goes over this gun from top to bottom for all-thumbs guys like me.
Anyone know if such a Web site exists? Really getting a jones to have one of these rascals again.

Got a problem 1887 I had a local gunsmith work on, and worked for a little while.  Now it does not feed right and my gunsmith said that was all he could do with it.  So I have been looking for a gunsmith that specialized in 1887 shot gun.  Anyone know of a good gunsmith that can take a Norico and convert it into a two shell loading gun for cowboy shooting......

Thanks for any help....

Need to contact "Lassiter."  I've lost his contact information but Tom is "the" Guru of the '97.
I personally find the '97 to be almost as much fun as a poke in the knee with a sharp stick ;{(

I was told the best fix for the low-end import 1887's was to replace them with a Stoeger, or spend over a grand on one of the higher end 1887's!

Seriously, I'm interested in the responses to your questions, as I would very much like to add one of these shotguns to my arsenal.

Howdy,

Being from Canada I couldn't send the whole gun to Cap. He just had me send the workings and made the simple mods needed. Cost me about $75. Excellent jent to work with. There is another way to modify them but that takes much more welding and machining.
