Recently I broke the Collet on my Kinetic Buller Puller. I called Hornady to order a new Collet. The Tech Rep mentioned that in the interim I could use a Shell Holder in place of the Collet. I tried using a Shell Holder and it works great. In fact I like it better than the Collet.

Neat!  I wouldn't have thought to try a shell holder.

I've been doing it that way for a while.  WAY easier and quicker than that stupid little collet  :)

Was it the rubber ring that broke? Auto supply stores have lots of them, and cheaper than mail from RCBS.

I have been using regular shell holders like this for years.

Sir Charles,

Thanks fof the suggestion.

It was the rubber ring that broke. It resembles a small O-ring and appeared to be glued in place. Hornady is sending me a replacement Collet no charge.

I may stick with the Shell Holder. It seems to be much easier to use and has a more positive hold on the case.
