Hello, I just recently got a hold of an armi sport spencer repro in 45 long colt.  Having a hard time extracting fired shells.  I have been told that the rims are small on 45 long colt and it is just the way it is.  I was wondering if it would feed the 45 Schofield cartridge and be safe to shoot from the rifle?

Also, you might try doing a search on SSS -  45 Colt Spencers and see if you get more hits.

I had a similar extraction problems with my .45 Colt Chiappa Spencer carbine.
I was using both Winchester and Starline brass with 5.5 grains of Trail Boss and a 250 grain bullet.
When I reduced the loads to 4.0 grains of TB, the problem went away.
Since I'm only using it on shorter ranges, shooting paper or steel plates, it's not a problem.
Good luck and enjoy.
