Well, I think this question actually applies to Gary G.
Is it known whether the Double Eagle was manufactured in any barrel length other than 3 1/2 inch??  3 1/2 inch was the only one I ever saw advertised on the USFA web site before USFA was taken down.

The 3 1/2" was the only one advertised but a few left the factory  in both 4 3/4" and 5 1/2" barrels.

Gary,
Any idea how many Double Eagle (convertible) 45 Colts with extra 45acp cylinders were made?
Thanks, JB

I don't but it was a fairly common option on all the 45 Colt revolvers regardless of the model (especially in the last couple of years of the company's existance).

Here are a couple of consecutive numbered 4 1/2" Double Eagles that recently sold on GB for the low price of $3,000 each.
