Addendum,

To close this thread. i ended up buying a pair from Andy Bachman from Germany had a pair of straight shanks that fit the bill

I was in a hurry (aren't we all), I made a set or spur straps and wore them one day .... I found I definitely have to watch how I walk!!

My camera won't work with my Windows 8 new computer; looks like I am going to have to break down and buy a new camera ....

So you guys are spared having to look at a set of Ropers and spurs ... *S*
My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

I too wanted a pair of spurs with large rowels, and rather than try to save enough money to buy a set, I made them myself - hacksaw and file.  I made them to fit my boots...very comfortable.
