I know, . . . this is a gun forum, . . . but if that cattle ranch thing goes up out west, . . . we may all be caught up in something, . . . and I need a set of chaps to go with my Beretta Stampede, . . . just in case I go west.

I'm looking for something similar to trail boss Gil Favor's chaps in the Rawhide show, . . . pattern, . . . tracing, . . . picture, . . . anything you have to help will be much greatly appreciated.

I've done a lot of leatherworking, . . . this has just about beaten me up, . . . I've tried a couple of times, wasted some precious material, . . . just can't get em to fit, hang, and feel right.

Again, thanks folks, may God bless,
Dwight

Dwight, those look like Bat wing chaps. There are several patterns available. Bob Kelinda Kalinda saddlery has a pattern, Cowcamp saddlery has some how to videos for chaps and chinks. I don't remember if they have a pattern for Batwings. You might also want to PM David Carrico he may have a patternhe would be willing to share and may be able to give you some insight in to doing them. Tandy leather library has a downloadable Batwing and shotgun chaps patern pack for $6.95.
