Hey yall. I'm getting back into BP shooting after many years. I just purchased 4lbs of powder, 1k caps from Cabelas, and an Uberti 1858 Remington (my first Remmy). For the price I paid for all the supplies, it averages to about 3 cent a shot! Are there any secrets I need to know about the Remington in particular? Pictures will be forthcoming!

No problem with mine. You shot BP before so you know about cleaning.  I wipe my down every few cylinders or so.  Have a good time with it, that is the secret. ;D

ifn you got it from Cabelas it is more than likely a F LLI Pietta which are very good pistols
I have a few of them.
