OK teacher, let us get down to student level. Please. Explain how you manufactured the belt. Doubled and sewed around the top? What is left open? What kind of leather did you use? Got the 7 ounce.
What is the crease on the bottom? Decorative?
Take a little time and explain pardner.

Boy that makes a good-looking rig. The two-tone is striking with that holster. Beautiful, Henrik.

Thanx pards.
Red cent. I stitch the billet, cape and loops first. Then I skive the were the fold will be ( course of the thickness of the leather), after that I damp the folding line on the out and inside. Fold it and tap the folding with a smoth faced hammer. Then I glue the edger and stitch it, the creas is for decoration.
on the autentic money belts the buckle end is open so they could store coins inside. The valuables were "locked in"by passing the tongue billet through the slot from the back to front and engaging the buckle.
I can recommend the book "Packing Iron"
i hope it helps..
