Back from Branson

Well we made it back from Branson..and I don't think there is enough bandwidth to tell ya'll how much fun we had.
It was a great time. The shoot was fun ..the parties were fun..and the friends that we made was the very best part.

 Those of you who have met Miz Annie, Tensleep, Querida Kate, Trixie Trina & Missouri Marshal know what I am saying when it comes to talking about the feelings of having true heart friends.
They just don't come better than these people.
I guess you could say that they felt like family the minute we met  them..

 of course I have to tell ya that Tensleep was just a teeny bit "speechless" in the few minutes of our first conversation.

The Show Me Shoot Out was wonderfully organized and had an easy going relaxed atmosphere where people were laughing and having a good time with whatever posse they were shooting with.
The early mornings was kind of a killer.. and even though the weather was cold on Friday.. that didn't stop the fun. People just shivered and shot and laughed.

 
I thought I was pretty set in knowing what I wanted to shoot etc...
But after being at this event...now I am thinking I want to shoot black powder.. but then again..... I don't know if I have enough female bargaining power to entice the Marshal to clean my guns afterwards.. LOL
Suuuuuurrre do love that smoke and the big bangs...  and now Querida Kate has me all pumped up on feathers and glitter to add to all that smoke..
Dang. decisions decisions...

The Friday night social was so great.. delicious snacks, casino gambling ( with play money which was the best part)... dress up contests..and friendly people everywhere you turned.
 I met so many fun people that I just had a blast with , and I don't even know their names...
 ( and I hope some of them don't remember mine...* *
But I can tell you that we sure did have a fun blackjack table..

Then the banquet on Saturday night was quite a sight..where everyone was dressed in their finery.. The women were beautiful and the men were all so dashing and handsome..
It was like stepping back in time and living the fantasy. I loved it.

The worst part of all of it was saying goodbye.

 I can't wait to do it all again.. and NOW I am really ready to get my gear bought and start shootin'.

I can't wait for the GAF Muster this next weekend. ( I suppose I will have to add THAT to my list of "want to shoots" too.  )

I'm thinking that having as much fun as I did this weekend is either illegal or immoral or both.  Dang!  What a wonderful time.  Meeting old friends & making new ones, shooting, laughing & raising a little (OK - a lot) of hell.  It just don't get any better.

I'm with Marshal'ette - meeting her & the Marshal, Missouri Marshal & Tricky Trina for the first time was like coming home.  And what can you say about Sleep & Annie (that won't get me arrested).  These folk are wonderful:  warm, caring & a delight to be around.  Family of the best sort.  Saying goodbye was a killer though & I can't wait till the next time we can get the gang together.

Hey Marshal'ette - I'm sure if we both use our "female bargaining power" on the Marshal he'll consent to clean your guns for ya.     If not, I'll show you how & he can bake the cookies while you're busy.

I'm pooped so more later.  I hate coming back to "the real world."  Miss you guys.
