Need help with a Spencer Carbine s/n

I have just got a spencer carbine to add to my collection and I am looking for some info about spencer carbines ...
Here is what I know so far:

S/n is 36817
It has the stabler cut-off
It has 3 groove rifling ...

Since I am new to Spencer's any info would be great.

#36840 - a Spencer Carbine issued to Company M 2nd New York Volunteer Cavalry in March of 1865

and

#36828 - a Spencer Carbine issued to Company I 3rd Michigan Volunteer Cavalry in June of 1865
