Howdy to the camp,

I have Word Document files for Spencer Labels.  I have a copy of a CD Leet 56-50 label that fits the Cheyene Cartridge box for 45 Colt or Scofield.  I changed the number of cartridges from 42 on the original to 35, as that is how many 56-50s 0r 56-56 fit in the box.  To be correct, it should be printed on a dull yellow paper (pale yellow construction paper works well).  The file could be altered to "50" for 44 and 45 Spencer replica boxes.  When using the Cheyenne 45 colt boxes, use paper packing tape around the sides, and rubber cement the labels on.

I think I still have a Word document of a replica 56-56 Spencer label with a cartridge picture in the center, also.

Lets try another 56-56

UGh, It won't let me upload it!  Email me if you want this one.  It is a label with a woodcut picture of a 56-56 in the middle of the label.

I'll email it to Two Flints also and see if he can attach it.   ::) ::) ::)

Since much of our research revolves around the Spencer and finding Spencer casings to find the battle, I made these boxes as a "thanks" for all those that helped us.

wow Smith, great lables.   can you attach one of the 56 50 lables?   I'd like to make up a couple of ammo boxes for my original when I take it to the range.
Long winter, nothing to do...looking for projects!   thanks  Ken

I do have one nit to pick on the labels with the images of the cartridges.  The labels show Union Metallic, yet the images have the "H" of Winchester on them. If these labels came from the post-1888 period, when Remington was bought by Marcellus Hartley and Winchester jointly, then it would be correct! Of course, this ammo was manufactured long after the manufacture of Spencers had ceased.  Just a thought...

good catch trailrider.  I found them on the net and photo shopped them.  I see the picture above is the same.
must be later boxes.   a little cut and paste, and I mean glue, and I now have a box with 25  56 50's in it.

Here are a couple more.
They in black & white so you may print them out on any color paper you want.
You may also resize them to fit the size box you use them on.

Two Flints,

Yes. Thank you. I have those also. (I have not yet found my master copied for those as of yet)

With the exception of "this" Winchester made 56-52 label, which was remarkable clear, I have cleaning up most of the labels I have collected. This is needed to help make them look somewhat less than 100+ years old.
The other two labels needed some repair and I removed the Caliber and number of cartridges held in the box so that these #'s could be added by those wishing to make a "new" modern box. (They may also leave them neutral if they wish)
I also reproduce them in black and white with the idea of reproducing a good colored label for new boxes. Caliber and quantity maybe added by those wishing to make new boxes.
Size of the label is also very important depending on the number of rounds the box is designed to contain.
My best,
Blair

Blair, and others who may be interested in these: These may be repeats, but thought I'd post them just the same.
