RWS #11 Cap Dimensions?

Anyone that has some, what are the diameter & height of the RWS #11 caps?
Remington #11's with Slix-Shot nipples work perfectly in my Pietta '51 Navy Colt US Marshal's because they are shorter in height

Reason for determining the RWS information:  On my Pietta 1851 Colt Navy, US Marshal's with Slix-Shot nipples - the shorter Remington #11 caps work perfectly.
*  CCI #11 caps bind
*  All #10 caps bind
* So do the RWS #10.75

I wanted to order available RWS caps but don't want to be stuck with 3000 cap that don't fit on the '51 Navy Colt's.  So have to find an available source for Remington #11 caps

And guess what?  There isn't a swinging Richard in the US that has Remington caps except Dixie ... limit 100 caps!

Called Remington Arms Customer Service ... the friendly lady looked up the production schedule for percussion caps ... No Caps are scheduled for production in the first 3 months of 2014 and subsequent production has no schedule ... Unknown Availability!

Howdy JB,

Seems we C&B BP shooters are sucking the hind tit.  Remington and others are making and selling everything they can make.  We are a small part of their production.  Luckily, I have a good supply of caps, but I'm keeping my eye on the ball for more when they become available.

I recall when that thread with measurements was published.

If I recall correctly, we also found out that different vintages had significantly different measurements... some of the manufacturers were playing with things... probably to optimize the cap size to best fit the biggest market share of guns.  The introduction of the fairly carefully controlled Treso nipples may have been a factor as well.

I made calls to 6 non national retailers within a 200 mile radius today for Remington #11 caps ... Nope!
Then I had a lightning strike brain wave - measure the different nipples I have that I can use for the 51 Navys and see what caps I have fit, rotate & don't jam!

So having the various 800 & change caps in inventory, means I have an 8 months supply 
Sure hope manufacturers start making caps within this 8 month period

Have you tried contacting Jerry at Powder Inc. for caps?  You might also contact Jackie at Back Creek Gun Shop in Winchester, Va.

Last time I was in Taylor's in Winchester, Va they had Remington caps. I got a box of 1000 (10 tins).

Thanks Pony Racer about the RWS caps.  They are too long for the 51 Navy's with Slix-Shot nipples.  The Remington #11's fit perfectly which I'm low on inventory.
