This is a link to the auction for a USFA I was going to have done but didn't get around to in time.  :'( Have to see just how far out of line it would push my finances by the time its done. :o

Would of bought it at Buy It Now if I'd caught it in time. Oh well.

The auction is open until 1/11/2014 the way I read it.  Still a chance to go wild. :-\

There were others made with the 44 Colt rollmark.  BTW it used a 44 Sp cylinder.  If you want to rebarrel your USFA gun with a 44 Colt roll mark, I can probably get you a barrel

The Pathfinder

Sounds like that might be a thought, Gary. About how much would a 7 1/2" barrel run if I go that route? Would a 4 3/4" be the same? Not sure if it's worth it as I've got a pair of 7 1/2" 44-40s now that I got thru Turnbull. But always plan ahead for that next surprise down the road, I say. Thanks.

Did you all see what this revolver ended up going for? It turned out to be in Doug Donnelly's personal collection and ended up selling for around $3200. Made that original $1400 Buy-it-now price look fantastic.

I thought that if you offer the "buy it now" price you won the auction.  Never realized the bid can go higher.   Though after that experience, Donnelly will probably start shedding many of the early Italian guns.

Capt. John Fitzgerald

Mtone,
"Buy it now" will win the auction but only if you do it before the bidding reaches the seller's reserve price.  Once that happens the "buy it now" option goes away.
