Restoring leather on period binoculars?

Anyone have source for someone who replaces the thin leather on the barrels of old binoculars?

I picked up a pristine pair of French binoculars, pre-WWI, with case. They look like new, but the thin leather covering the body has shrunk slightly and separated at the sewn seams.

Try Steff at Prairie Flower Leather.  He can do just about anything with leather, and loves that period.  If you want me to, I can show him my pair of French made binoculars and see if he can do it.

I would like to know how it goes as I also have a pair of French Field Glasses.

If you would, that would at least give me a starting point. Much thanks.

Here's a pic.

(Also found a nice 1902 dated holster for the 1892 Lebel revolver.)

Gentlemen,
Talked to Steff today and he said it would be no problem.  You can find him at his website pflco.com or google him at Prairie Flower Leather Company.  Hope that helps!
