I read an article several years ago in a shooting times magazine (I think that was the rag's name) about the Union Pacific RR laying its first tracks across the west.....

They fed their track crews buffalo and venison, brought in by hunters armed with Henry's issued by the UP, with fancy engraving on the Bronze receivers.......a Ribbon banner on the left side with Union Pacific Rail Road on the banner and a hunter on horse back pointing a Henry at a buffalo.

For years I wanted to procure a Uberti and have it set up like those Henry's and present it to my brother who works for the Union Pacific. My late father and Uncle worked for the same RR, formerly the Missouri Pacific who absorbed the Texas and Pacific. My Great Uncle and Grandfather worked for the Texas and Pacific......a RR family of sorts..........

Never did do that......but with this new Henry, the idea has come back to life..........it just costs to damm much.
Griswold,
The Griswold was favored by my Great Grand Pa James Henry Story who rode with the 7th Georgia Cavalry.

Didn't Navy Arms make a run of UPRR marked Uberti Henrys many years ago?  A vaguely recall reading about them.

Looks pretty dang good to me!  ;D  Now about that price....... :o

Glad to see these as well. Especially from HRA. Had a Big Boy and my experience with it was Very Good. I always had a hard time that they didn't do an 1860. Hope it works out for them and us as well. Would like to see the price come down , but I got an Uberti  in 44-40. But I would like a 45LC. It's just what I like. ;D

As NCOWS Judge, I have written to and received a reply from Anthony Imperato, in regards to one being sent for a gun test.
He requested my FFL # , and it was provided , he responded to that as well...
We'll see if a Henry is sent,   :-\  If it is , I'll review it & write the impressions for the "Shootest"

Mean while it is not approved for NCOWS

Well, the Henry was sent THANK YOU Mr. Imperato  :)

I got a letter from HRA just today, the gun was at My FFL . I called and sure enough it was there
I have it in hand....

First impression,  KUDOS to Henry Repeating Arms  ;D

I will do a full gun test, with 3 brands of 44/40 & my BP rounds , for a future Shootist Magazine ( an NCOWS Publication )
when planets align...do the deal !
