Above said question.  They feel good.  I've handled the 16 and 19 or 20 inch carbine barrel.  I prefer the slightly longer version.  How are they in quality and accuracy?

FWIW, I have two Rossi 19" carbines. One is a .44 magnum and the other is a .44-40. The fit and finish is rough but they are accurate and built like a tank. I have taken a few white tail deer with the .44 mag out to 75 yards +/_. I haven't yet had the chance to take a deer with the .44-40 but it's hell on groundhogs around the farm. I know they aren't .45s but I hope this helps.

Major 2

I had one for short while, in Stainless , about 2000 as I recall, worked OK, stiff as an Out of the box would be...
...the main thing I remember, was the wood, or whatever the Brazilians say passes for wood,
some kinda mystery rain forest defoliation product.
The Butt stock looked be a totally different species from the fore stock , even the color was so far off  :-\

Pay Dirt Norvelle

I use a Rossi 1892 in 45LC and really like it.  It has been slicked up by Nate Kiowa Jones and works great!  By the way it is in Stainless Steel and matches my Ruger New Vaquero Bisleys.   ;D

I also have a carbine in 44-40, came without the ring. It's my main match rifle. Also have a SRC in 357, which it does not feed well, but gobbles up 38's wwith no problems. I am very pleased with the Rossi's, especialy the older ones.

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

I have a Stoeger '66 yellow boy, a Cimarron '73, and two Rossi '92s, all in 45 Colt. The 92s are by far my favorites. I find the 92 much easier to sight plus it is light and easy to handle.

I heard you could put 44-40s in a .44 Magnum Rossie 92.  That kinda surprised me.  .44 Specials I could understand.

The .44 Magnum chamber would have to be larger than normal at the rear for a .44-40 cartridge to fit......or the .44-40 cartridge cases were resized in a .44 Magnum die......
