This morning I ordered a new USFA 1873 single action in 45 long colt. I ordered the version that has the early black powder frame, bullseye ejector and pinched frame. It is a Christmas present for my son William. The dealer says he will have it in two weeks. Gonna order a walnut presentation case for it, the type that has the compartment for displaying 50 rounds of 45LC.

I think your going to be REAL happy with your purchase.  I have a buddy here that got one and is so happy with it, I think he sleeps with it.

Bill,  I am certain he will like it.  Blackpowder framed '73 are nice looking.  I have a Cim., never saw a USFA.

Congrats William.  ENJOY

Matt, & Black River,
I've ordered a walnut presentation case for it that has the fifty seperations (holes) to hold 50 45LC bullets and the accoutrements.
I think he will like it.

Well,
Pat and I have been lucky, we've got two great kids (adults now, but still kids to me), never caused us any grief. Both raised to respect their adults (French Jack will attest tos this), so we spoil them a little. I never had to much growing up but I appreciated everything I got from my folks. When I got out out of the service I was able to find a good job (had one job for thirty years) and was able to buy for my kids the things I would have liked to have had when I was there age if I knew they were available and my parents had the money...... Will (my son) is the kind of son that will love this pistol, likes to shoot and hunt as does my daughter Margaret. I hope to get her shooting next year, so I'm warning you all ahead of time NO derogatory remarks about Native Americans in front of her, she can be very outspoken and blunt at times, and she's a lot smarter then I am...... ;) ;)

Go to the back of the line, French Jack!

I asked Bill to adopt me when he bought that shotgun for William at the Convention!  For some strange reason I can't figure, he doesn't seem to be interested in adopting me or anyone else! :D ;)
