I have a chance to pick up a used Kasnar NMA copy at a decent price.  I was wondering who made them (if not Kasnar) and if the quality was decent.  Looks older, but very little use.

Sir Charles deMouton-Black

Kasnar was an importer.  Look here to compare proof and makers markings;

Major 2

Kassnar as I recall imported from Italy & Spain
At the time , Armi San Paolo/Euroarms , Pietta , Uberti &  E.N. Santa Barbara made NMA Remingtons ....
I know they imported Jukar Muzzle-loaders from Spain and several Shotguns , but I don't think E.N. Santa Barbara Remington's.

I have a old Uberti Dealers network listings from the * 70-80's , they are not listed... Chances are your gun is either Euroarms or Pietta...

* at that time, I was Movie Prop buying many Uberti's, I was extended dealer status...
when planets align...do the deal !

Thanks everybody, the proof marks, etc. will be really helpful.  And of course it is Kassnar, not Kasnar.
