Gentlemen, sometimes you can't help but toot your own horn. Look what I found on line for $630 plus shipping. I was so excited I could hardly punch the right keys on the phone. Picked it up from my FFL agent today. It is new and unfired but has been turned, but only a few times. The Blue book says these are only in 4 3/4" and 5" but here is one in 3 1/2". I believe it is called a Store Keeper or Shop Keeper. Can't remember which. It also has the correct box and flannel bag but no papers. ;D

Lou,
This is a Storekeeper model in the Rodeo II finish.  A run of 50 was done for Lew Horton and there were probably a few more made for various sources.

Gary,

Thanks much for the info. I am very happy to have found it and like it very much. Just goes to show that persistence and patience pays off.

All you need is a mate for it so you can shoot Gunfighter with some really KOOL guns  ;D

Congratulations, Buck!  Beautiful gun!!!  I have a Double Eagle with the same finish and it is a handsome little gun.

Guys, I also found this one. It is an early gun when they were USPFA. It has the early box and all the papers. I know it is a Uberti gun but I bought it as such. I just thought it would be nice to have one of the early guns.

Lou,
There is nothing wrong with USPFA guns.  Doesn't really matter they were built from Uberti parts.  Even the later guns were dimensionally Uberti.  They were extremely well made guns regardless.

And, speaking of those early guns...  There is a VERY early USPFA on Gunbroker right now. It has the Uberti hammer safety and the bottom of the barrel is stamped "Uberti - Italy."  Must be one of the first ones to come out of USFA as they did away with that hammer and stampings very early in the game.  Right now there have been 24 bids placed and it is up to $1,281.00.  Who would have thought?

Coffinmaker,

You are right about the Uberti parts guns being nice. Other than a slight turn line on the cylinder of the one I just purchased you wouldn't know it wasn't new. I think this was another one that I really lucked into. Here are a few photos after I picked it up from my FFL.

But Lou,

What are you gonna do with all that excess barrel???  I could remove it for ya ;-)
