I was watching a DVRed Larry the Cable Guy Only in America (A show I highly recommend.)  I was was forwarding through the Ads and this caught my eye, went back and watched it, a cool ad with some true history. remember he says ("About 1900.)  Might not be exact, but pretty dang close.

I love a Cuba Libre, but for a less political statement I also love a Double Dark & Dirty.

Great clip BTW.

Yup, there are more than one Cuba Libre/Bacardi spots airing now on cable channels, all well done and enjoyable. The one above has great costuming and looks period-correct.
OK, Sir Charles, please clarify your recipe/mix/blend for the 'Double Dark & Dirty'. Is this a local favorite in B.C.?
Best regards and good shooting!

It's a Eastern Canadian recipe that I learned and indulged in while in the Army.

Lots of dark rum and some Coca Cola. Fruity additions not required nor expected. Ice depends on availability and the patience of the drinker.

Greetings,

I too noticed that commercial a few days ago.  One of the better ads on the boob tube.

Well, along that lines, close enough to GAF, this one from 10 years ago is as good or better.
