Good read Fox Creek. Thanks for posting. What book is it out of. Love shootin and readin about conversions. Have only been shootin em for a few yrs, Open Top in '07 and Richards II in '09, both in 44 Spec. Started out shooting smokless in 44 Spec cases and black in 44 Colt. Since gettin a Ruger Sup Blkhk to shoot Specials, I tend anymore just to shoot the 44 Colt rds with blk in them. Been shootin cp an ball rev since around '73, wish the conversions had been available earlier or I had started shooting them when they did. Might havta' add a Remington convs to the stable sometime.
