Guys, this is a link to another post you might find of interest.  When it comes to the style of guns that we love most, there is definitely a holster style that was developing alongside of them.  The California Slim Jim holsters just seemed to add to the long slender look of Col Colts new inventions, each complimenting the looks of the other.  Non greater than the likes of Wild Bill and JW Hardin proved time and time again that the combination could be as fast and deadly as the later guns and holsters that eventually replaced them.  The Slim Jim design was simple, the construction was easy and the materials needed were few and with a good pattern already available most anyone could make these.  The pard here says these were his very first, how do you like them.
