I was thinking about buying a Kirst converter for my Uberti Colt Dragoon......But then I saw $350.......Yikes!

Yep. they are pricey.  But they are extremely well made and will probably outlast the dragoon you put it on.  I had mine installed last month by them and it works great!  I shoot full BP loads and haven't had a problem other than with a little drag from fouling.
Everything has gone up - from the price of steel to the cost of labor.  IMHO you can't find a better American-made product.

Yup...never questioned the quality. I have four of them. Two for my 1860s and two for my 1858s...I was just surprised at the Dragoon version.

I'd love to get one, but the lack of roll engraving bugs me.  I have several Kirst Konverters and they are all well made and work great.  Just the pain blued cylinder rubs me wrong.  If I knew of a place to get it engraved I would.

At one time Walt offered to cut down my cylinder so I'd have the roll engraving, wish now I'd taken him up on it.
