It works pretty well if you too have a facebook account. (I do not) But, there is a great deal of very good info available, one way or the other.

Suggest you contact Maria at VTI.  She's Aldo's daughter and has always been extremely helpful with parts.  She can point you in the right direction if parts can't satisfy your problem.

To the best of my knowledge, Maria is not at VTI.  She left when Uberti USA was dissolved by Beretta.  Lisa, the lady who owns VTI was the "go to girl" at Uberti USA and then established VTI.  I don't believe they VTI are allowed to provide a direct link to Uberti.
Uberti will give you a factory tour if you call ahead though.  Call ......... Where???  Things have changed under Baretta  :-(

I hear you.  Unlike the pre "Beretta" days, I don't really think Uberti wants to deal with the customer directly.  Such as, I don't have to shim and correct the barrel/arbor fit on open top Pietta guns.  I seldom if ever see a Uberti with correct barrel/arbor fit.  I was actually gasterflabbed when Uberti went to a spring and plunger hand in the '73.

Best of luck in your endeavor.  I know you also have to make a cylinder for your latest new gun.  Oh, and I just picked up a pair of those swell short barrel .44 Piettas.  <}:-)

All I wanted to do was let them know that their online catalogue looks to be wrong!! It looks to me like their 3rd model Dragoon has now developed a 2nd model lever latch which means it is now a 2.5 model.
