It was a nice gun.  But the hammer action was super tight.  I backed the mainspring screw out some and that helped a little.  But even then it was tight.  VERY tight compared to the Schofield, Colt and Ruger type Single Action western guns.   Any way my friend can adjust further on this gun?

I'm not sure about the Uberti '75's, but with my Pietta New Model Army I rolled a quarter inch section of Scotch tape really small and wrapped it under the mainspring screw.  It makes it pop out, but it works kind of like checkering, gives the fingers something more to hold.  Just a thought.  :D

I was told recently that I'm "livelier than a one-legged man at a butt-kicking contest."    Is that an insult or a compliment?

Same as pretty much every other out of the box cowboy gun.  Needs an action job and some new or re-profiled springs.

Every other cartridge loading cowboy action gun cocks with ease and no strain.  This thing you had to really pull back on.

I backed the screw all the way out and the hammer drop was so light it could not fire the primer. Then I turned it back till I felt it come in contact with the spring and gave it a 1/4 turn and  they both shot real fine now never had a miss fire since. If it brandy new run it for about 50 round then strip it ,clean and grease her up mine loosen up a bit and some of the parts where dry that should of been wet.
