With 65 grs by weight of the Old E 1.5 you won't have room for the lube cookie etc without a ton of compression. But that won't hurt much that 1.5 really got even over the chrono with a lot of compression.

I am actually seating my bullets out to touch the rifling about all first lube groove is exposed when using Saeco 645 so I may not have too compress quite as much but believe there will be a good amount.

Still need to buy a decent sight for the Sharps am leaning toward a Kelley just because they look so cool, but given the rifle is an Armi Sports that might be like putting lipstick on a pig.  Lee shaffer are a lot less expensive and many folks swear by them.

Don't scrimp on the sight, it can be moved to another rifle, when the time comes. And without a good sight you just can't be real sure what's going on.

I have been leaning towards either the Kelley just for the looks and it seems to be quality.  The MVA sight is also on the list, possibly higher quality but with out the looks.  Baldwins are said to be good as well.  Seems as though the BPCR forum guys favor the MVA.

Yes I do believe the MVA to be the best. There are other good ones, the Red River has a really nice eyecup, but that Borchard adjusting stem is slower than a seven year itch. I bought a Heilman sight that is entirely serviceable and not a lot of money.

And you may want to checkout the Distant thunder sights. I have not used one, but I do know folks that swear by them.
