Uberti Frontier

I have a uberti frontier that the cylender pawl spring broke on. I replaced the spring now the issue is that when I cock the hammer the trigger will not set. I have to pull back hard on the hammer ot flip the trigger with my finger. I have taken it apart and reassembled it several times what am I doing wrong?

Did you replace just the spring or the Hand & Spring assembly?

If you replaced the complete assembly, I would suggest the the Hand (or pawl as you describe) is just a bit too long.
Stoning or light filing on the leading face of the Hand might help.
